Annapurna, Himalayas Expedition
July 2011

A month-long expedition with a team of students from a UK secondary school to Nepal, Asia.

The team endured monsoon season, trekking for 28 days on the famous Annapurna route, peaking at 5500m at the mountain pass. Navigating jungle, paddy-filers and landslides, the team combated altitude sickness, exhaustion and appalling weather.

Rounding off the expedition, the team spent some time in an orphanage for young, training monks, where they helped by renovating classrooms and teaching English.
